Stressed out? My top four things I use to relax

Are you stressed out from a long day on the job? Are you tired and need a vacation?  I know first-hand working all day, commuting far cross town, and the joys of driving in bumper to bumper traffic. It can be very overwhelming. The good news I've created a peaceful, relaxing spot in my home. Going to the spa can be expensive, so why not create your relaxing space at home. I listed four things I use to unwind from a busy day.

1. Candles. I love a good smelling scented candle. Once I get home from a long working day, I light my candles, and then I'm headed to my favorite spot on the couch. Yep! That's my kind of day.  Bath and Body Works three wick candles are now my top favorite. I like catching the candles on sales so I can stock up on my favorite scent. Make sure you sign up with your email, so you can get coupons. I love a great deal.

2. Lighting. I use a Himalayan salt lamp; it adds a soothing touch to my home. The benefits of using a Himalayan salt lamp, it releases negative ions into the air, which reduce anxiety and promote a relaxing, peaceful environment for sleep.

3. Relaxing music. I love Sade, Bob Marley, and smooth jazz. Listening to good soft music is a great way to zone out and relax with a great cocktail, I'm not much of a drinker, so I like my nice cold glass of soda with a delicious piece of cake. Yummy!

4. Reading. In the past, reading books was not my thing to do. Until one day at my old job, my coworker was talking about her book collection and how good the stories were. The first book I read was a raunchy seductive novel. Omg! This Book was so good it had me missing my ratchet crazy reality shows. Every day I came home and kept turning page after page. It was better than the daytime stories on TV.  A good book would have you missing your favorite shows. So yes! A good novel is an excellent way to relax.  There you go! Remember always take time out for yourself. You deserve it!
