Kendrick Lamar said it best "Be humble” We live in a world where jealousy envy, and materialistic flows deep in the air. So many people are caught up in the glitz and glam. I'm not saying don't treat yourself. I'm just stating don't forget where you come from. I was blessed to be raised in a family of 5. My mom and dad were both working middle-class folks. I was brought up in a loving and praying environment. I wasn't spoiled (My parents think differently lol) I was the worlds most behaved, cute, quiet, and nicest child (oh my gosh! let me stop lol, I know my parents are going to read this and think otherwise) okay! I was a good child. I had an older brother (my loving angel) I have an older sister. I’m the baby.
I was blessed to have parents to raise me to appreciate the things we have and not to be materialistic. My family wasn’t perfect; we dealt with foreclosure, repossession, and lights being cut off. I am keeping it 100% real! I want people to understand life gets rough for everyone, but those times taught us to pray harder and to maintain the faith. We went through hard times, but through it all, it made us stronger. When you go through the storms, it’s hard to stay positive, I realize the thunderstorms are meant to teach us something. Going through hard times will have you appreciating the good times.
What does being humble means to me? It means enjoy the good days and be thankful for what you have now in your life and most importantly don't take your blessings for granted. Never look down on the less fortunate. Everyone has a story. Compassion and giving go a long way. When prayers go up, the blessings come down, enjoy and be grateful. I love to travel and most of all, I like to treat myself. The road hasn't always been easy, so now I appreciate the sunny days. Thank you God, for the good days and bad days. The bad days made me stronger and the good days made me grateful. "Be Humble"
